Today marks the 20th anniversary of the classic 2001 album from Dr. Dre. The album featured some classic songs that to this day are favorite in the club and in a lot of playlists.
Jimmy Iovine and the Dr. sit down with Beats 1 to look back at the making of the album. They discuss Snoop Dogg’s influence, Eminem putting his touch on the album and even how Jay-Z store “Still D.R.E.” for the album with help from Steve Stoute. The two also discuss the state of music now and how music is made so fast. As Dr. Dre says, what are you gonna dedicate yourself to, the art of the money?
